How Off-Page SEO Will Get You Noticed by Search Engines

Any good SEO strategy requires Off-Page SEO which involves website owners going beyond their own website to promote their business and create a buzz online.

Search engines are designed to provide users with links to sites which are relevant and useful based on the user’s search query. Yes, websites can insure its own relevance by creating great content which is optimised for the search engines, but credibility and authority can only come from external sources.

Off-Page SEO is the process that website owners need to undertake when promoting their business across the web improving the websites rankings in the search engines. This includes a number of techniques including, link building, establishing trust and authority and generating social shares all of which can help improve the sites credibility and authority online.

Link Building

Links have always been a fundamental part of any SEO strategy, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. However, a lot of things have changed over the years.

Site owners must now be creative in the ways that they source links, quality over quantity and relevance are now some of the most important factors. Links should no longer be built; they should be earned naturally by creating and sharing great content.

Build Authority

While links will always be the foundation of your SEO strategy, businesses now have a great opportunity to get noticed within their niche. Blogging, giving advice, sharing industry news and taking part in social media are all great ways for a business to become an authority online and create credibility for their website.

Get People Talking

Social Media is a great way to get people talking about your business, products or services online. Although we still don’t know the impact that social media and social shares have on the search engine rankings, one thing is clear, the more people that are talking about you online, the more likely you will rank higher in the search engines.
